Robert Nathan correspondence with May Hatch Hartwell and poem, 1943.

The collection consists of three items: typed copy of a letter written to Nathan by May Hatch Hartwell, with news of her illness, and appreciation of his writing; also, Nathan's reply, on Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures letterhead, 5 June 1943, acknowledging her letter and wishing her well, with his hopes to return to the Cape soon. Also, typescript poem, At a Jewish Grave, with three alternate lines for the last stanza handwritten and signed by Nathan.
